Homeownership

Partner Family #56

Habitat for Humanity of Knox County builds homes in partnership with hard-working, low-income individuals and families who are ready to put in the work to become homeowners.

Chosen Partner Families build their homes alongside Habitat staff and community volunteers, while also preparing for homeownership through financial education and home-maintenance classes provided by Habitat for Humanity of Knox County.

Once a home is complete—typically within a year—and all partnership requirements are met, families purchase their homes from Habitat and become the legal owners.

Eligibility is based on three key factors: Need for housing, Willingness to partner with Habitat, and Ability to pay an affordable mortgage.

Habitat does not give away homes.

We are a mortgage lender that provides affordable financing to qualified families.

Our homes feature 0% to low-interest loans and affordable monthly payments designed to support long-term stability.
